We keep getting requests for photos of progress on the house so we uploaded a couple to flickr tonite. Master bedroom and OCUPOP room are getting close.

Earlier today, Bob and I installed the new “vaporproof” light for my office before realizing that the antiquated light it replaced had an integrated on/off switch. Lesson learned.

Everything’s coming up Moyle-house!

Wow. We’ve had an intensely exciting and suspenseful week here at TH corporate headquarters.

Our house hunt went from cautionary to aggressively hopeful. Last Friday we viewed a couple houses for sale one neighborhood over from our apartment, an area we really love but never thought we’d be able to afford. One of those really felt like a good home for us on the inside, and it was on our mind all weekend during the Bottomley Picnic and Moyle Mingle camping gathering. We took a second look on Wednesday and decided to make an offer. (more…)

Goings On

Friday marked the three month countdown to the wedding. With the cake arrangements just about crossed off the list, it feels like we are making progress in the preparations, but I feel like there must be a lot of little things we are overlooking that are about to sneak up and overwhelm us.

Pre-Fabricated

Danna and I have been teeter-tottering on our future housing needs for awhile now, going back and forth between wanting to stay in the city and buy versus moving nearby to build. Lately, sparked by some interesting lots on FSBOMadison.com, we have been leaning towards designing something we love so I dug out the stack of printed literature about modern prefab house manufacturers I had been collecting the last time we caught the building bug.
